On Sunday we went apple picking with Aaron and Ashlee Pace. Unfortunately, the apple orchard was not quite as glorious in person as it had sounded on their website. Note the scrawniness of the tree Ashlee and I are standing next to. The apples themselves were scrawny as well, in addition to being worm-filled. Gag. The owner actually gave us one bag for free- I think he knew how crappy his little "orchard" was. So, we picked out the least wormy ones and got out of there as quickly as possible with enough apples to make an apple pie, which was actually pretty good. It's pretty hard to have a bad apple pie I think :)

That is one scrawny apple tree! But I'm glad the pie turned out ok.
But how about that lean fellow who resembles Bryan? Is he ready for the race or what?
